The Firm

Established in 2001, Applied Engineering Solutions Ltd. was founded in Victoria, British Columbia with two Principals formerly of Reid Crowther Engineering. The firm grew to four Principals and in 2008; we expanded to include a Vancouver office, adding two more Principals to the firm. Currently, with a team of 40, we have the required technical knowledge, relevant experience and expertise necessary to deliver a successful project for our clients.

We have completed thousands of projects in a broad range of sectors, size, and complexity. The team’s depth and knowledge of resources make it possible to handle diverse projects such as hospitals, research laboratories, commercial buildings, recreational facilities, hotels, educational institutions, residential projects, and industrial buildings.

We have experience in all types of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects including LEED® Gold and Platinum projects as well as with projects pursuing the Living Building Challenge. Our team continually exchanges new ideas and design approaches both internally and with peers in the engineering community in order to provide the most comprehensive design approach while providing the most cost-effective, sustainable, and functional solutions.

Computer software in our office includes AutoCAD and REVIT. In addition, we are equipped with lighting calculation and daylight modeling software, as well as Power System modeling software for coordination, protection and advanced power systems analysis.
